IFCM publications and productions have won much acclaim for their ability to entertain music lovers, educate students and provide valuable perspectives to teachers and performing artistes. The books include those suited for music appreciation and study, as well as advanced publications featuring the works of major composers. IFCM's audio/video productions endeavour to present and preserve great ragas and masterpieces of Carnatic music. Emphasis is placed on perfecting and presenting highly refined versions of the songs with careful attention to correctness and completeness. Apart from these, IFCM has also initiated a series of audio CDs entitled 'Stars of Tomorrow', to encourage talented artistes.

· More About Carnatic Music by Chitravina N Ravikiran published in Sacramento, USA, 1993, as a handbook for music lovers. Subsequently, this book was expanded and published by Ganesh & Co, Chennai as Appreciating Carnatic Music.

· Perfecting Carnatic Music - Level 1 by Chitravina N Ravikiran, published in Chennai, Dec 1999. This is a valuable textbook for beginners, and a resource book for teachers. A new edition has been published with revisions and refinements in Dec 2003.

· Perfecting Carnatic Music - Level 2 by Chitravina N Ravikiran, published in Chennai, April 2005. This book caters to the next level of students and contains a select list of varnams, krtis & javalis.

· Oottukkadu Venkata Kavi - Life and Contributions by Chitravina N Ravikiran, published in Chennai in August 2007. This work analyses the master composer's gigantic contributions to Carnatic music and also throws in fresh perspectives about the highly evolved state of this system in the early 1700s.

· Compositions of Tanjavur Shankara Iyer, notated & compiled by Chitravina N Ravikiran. The student-friendly notation was actually written in the composer's presence!

· The IFCM has also sponsored several publications which contain the compositions of Oottukkadu Venkata Kavi such as Shri Krishna Ganam - Part II, Kalyana Mala Compositions, Kamakshi Navavaranam and Saptaratnas.
